Chris' career in a nutshell

Chris knew he wanted to be an actor from a very young age. Indeed, he appeared in the lead role of Joseph in his nursery school and infant school NATIVITY plays for 4 years running.  Then, many years later…

Chris trained at Bretton Hall.   This summer he appeared at the Edinburgh Festival in the new musical SOUL TRADERS playing the comedy role of George.  Last Christmas he was at the Wyvern Theatre, Swindon as Dandini in CINDERELLA for One From the Heart Productions.  The previous Christmas he played Prince Charming in CINDERELLA for PMA Productions before going straight out on tour for them in BEAUTY AND THE BEAST where he played a triumvirate of comedy roles, Papa, Snivel and Claude the Wardrobe. Other pantomimes include playing Prince Michael in SLEEPING BEAUTY at the Belgrade, Coventry, Dandini in CINDERELLA at The Lowry, Salford Quays and finally Wacker and Securidog in THE IDEAL GNOME EXPEDITION at the Castle Theatre, Wellingborough.  Chris spent a year touring the UK as Perkins in BLOOD BROTHERS whilst also covering and playing the role of posh twin, Eddie.  Over the summer of 2006 he toured the UK and Channel Islands in a critically acclaimed outdoor production of THE TAMING OF THE SHREW as Lucentio for Oddsocks Productions for whom he has also played Claudio in MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING and the title role in MACBETH.  He is a regular fixture on Tyneside at the MetroCentre, where he plays the lead in many of their summer pantomimes and has appeared at Alton Towers as part of their Halloween Entertainment.  Other credits include Rocky in THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW (Chopt Logic), the Emcee in CABARET (Colossal Productions), Bobby in Sondheim’s COMPANY and a Snow Child in CAROUSEL at the Leicester Haymarket.  TV and film credits include A TOUCH OF FROST, EMMERDALE, THE ROYAL TODAY, MY PARENTS ARE ALIENS and THE QUEST (all ITV), CRIMEWATCH and THE CHASE (both BBC), HOLLYOAKS (Channel 4) and the short film WOULD LIKE TO MEET for Screen Yorkshire.  He is also an experienced compere and host of corporate events, hosting Annual conferences for Boots and British Gas amongst others, and opened the new Public Transport Interchange on Tyneside with the Lord Mayor of Gateshead.  He is also a guest presenter on BBC's THE ONE SHOW.  Adverts include playing a DHL Delivery Boy in the company’s 2006 campaign.  Chris loves rugby and, having grown up in Leicestershire, is a massive Leicester Tigers fan!
